Stickl Yacht History
We build electric pleasure boats, but how did we come to this decision? Why did we embark on this journey? Many ask these questions, so we have briefly summarized what has happened recently.
START OF SAILING SHIP TRADE
At that time, we had been sailing for 6 years and were looking for a ship that would offer a solution to several needs. It is a sailboat that can be taken to other waters and can even be used as a motor yacht. We found a special boat that others liked, so we started selling the Odin 820 sailboat, which was already successful in its first year.
THE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE SAILS IS SO SUCCESSFUL THAT MANUFACTURERS HAVE INVOLVED US IN THE DEVELOPMENT
Róbert Stickl started to develop the ships to his liking, taking advantage of his automotive training and the background of a modern workshop.
INSTALLATION OF ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS IN SAILING FIRST SAILS
Again, based on its own needs, the development began in such a direction that the sailing ship could be used quietly and legally for hours, even in windy weather. Many ship owners and manufacturers also liked the construction and were asked to install the system in their own ships.
THE FIRST STICKL ELECTRIC SHIPS ARE COMPLETED, EVEN IN COOPERATION
In connection with the installation of electrical systems in different motor boats, we have faced the different, often extremely unfavorable behavior of different hulls in the case of electric propulsion. That is why we have decided to build a hull that provides both practical and favorable driving characteristics. (Eg: travel time, stability.
LAUNCH OF EXPORTS TO AUSTRIA AND GERMANY
In the years hit by the economic crisis, we felt that it was more appropriate to enter the Austrian and German markets in terms of stable production.
LET'S START DESIGNING OUR FIRST FULLY OWN-DEVELOPED ELECTRIC VESSEL
As a result of the tests abroad, we gained a lot of experience. Because they have been sailing there for decades, those interested have set much higher expectations. They were inspired to develop, like Austrian manufacturers, a hull fully optimized for electric navigation.
THE FIRST E-VOLUTION ELECTRIC SHIP IS COMPLETED
The prototype attracted such interest that 7 orders were received in the first summer, of which 6 were from Austria and Germany, respectively.
COMPREHENSIVE RENEWAL OF THE E-VOLUTION 620, THE BIRTH OF THE FIRST E-VOLUTION 660
At that time, production was still 90% dominated by exports, which encouraged us to further develop the ship.
PRODUCTION OF THE E-MOTION 600 STARTS
The E-volution was too large for many Austrian lakes, given the size of the boathouses built and protected decades ago. That’s why we developed a little brother for E-volution. We tried to keep as many benefits as possible and “take away” as little as possible from comfort.
GÁRDONYI SHOWROOM AND TEST BOAT PORT IS COMPLETED
The market has reaffirmed that the benefits of our boats can only be well illustrated on the water, but there they are so conspicuous that they almost sell themselves. That’s why we’ve created a small harbor a few steps from the showroom where all of our models can be tested.
INTRODUCING THE E-XCELLENCE 820 - THE FASTEST CABIN ELECTRIC SHIP IN EUROPE
To encourage E-volution owners, we’ve developed a “big brother” that can do multi-day rides while further increasing speed.
THE HAPPY OWNER OF THE 100TH E-VOLUTION ELECTRIC SHIP IS COMPLETED IN AUSTRIA
The advent of newer models has never pushed back demand for E-volution…
E-SPIRIT 730 INTRODUCED AT THE SHIP EXHIBITION IN BUDAPEST AND THEN TULLNI, AUSTRIA
There has been a serious customer demand for a model between E-volution and E-xcellence, which is a large E-volution but based on state-of-the-art technology from E-xcellence (Vacuum infusion hull, engine power over 40 kW). This time we didn't want to do much, so we also significantly innovated in terms of design and comfort…
WE ARE IN USE OF A BRAND NEW, MODERN PRODUCTION HALL IN GARONON-DINNYÉS
The growing number of units necessitated the construction of a modern plant worthy of our ships. Computer-controlled manufacturing technology and a bridge crane test pool complete the manufacturing process.
COMPREHENSIVE UPDATE OF E-MOTION, MANUFACTURED AS E-MOTION 610
Despite the unbroken interest, like the E-volution, after a while we felt that so many new ideas had come together that could significantly modernize the smallest ship.
THE 50TH E-MOTION ELECTRIC SHIP IS COMPLETED
The development was not in vain this time either, the enthusiasm for our smallest electric yacht continues to grow.
